William Ong Boon Hwee

William's areas of practice encompass arbitration, banking litigation, corporate insolvency and restructuring as well as corporate litigation.

William has substantial experience in banking litigation as well as financial and securities-related disputes, and regularly represents banks and financial institutions in disputes involving structured products, margin trading, valuations, guarantees and enforcement of security. He is also actively involved in representing clients in shareholder and directors' disputes, joint venture disputes as well as licensing, software and trade mark disputes. 

William is effectively bilingual in English and Chinese and has rendered expert opinions before the English courts and the courts of the People's Republic of China. He sits on the panel of arbitrators of the Shanghai International Arbitration Center and regularly acts in arbitrations involving Chinese parties. 

William graduated from the National University of Singapore with and LLB (Hons) degree in 1999. He was called to the Singapore Bar in 2000 and joined Allen & Gledhill in the same year.
