Mauricio Gomm Santos

Mauricio Gomm Santos serves as counsel, mediator and arbitrator for arbitration proceedings before major international arbitration providers in the field of commercial contracts in general. Mr. Gomm Santos is admitted to practice law in Brazil, New York, Portugal and, as Foreign Legal Consultant, in Florida. He holds an LLM. in Private Law at Federal University of Paraná, Brazil, an LL.M with Queen Mary University of London in International Business Transactions with focus on International Commercial Arbitration and LL.M with the University of Miami, School of Law in International Comparative Law. He is a member of several mediation and arbitration institutions in Brazil and abroad, such as the Board of Directors of the American Arbitration Association ("AAA"), ICC Latin American Group, and Vice-President of CAM-CCBC. Adjunct professor at the University of Miami, School of Law, teaching "Arbitration in Latin America" from 2007 to 2010. He is active in initiatives to educate the judiciary regarding arbitration in the Americas, at the request of the Organization of American States, and other entities. Mr. Gomm Santos has offices in Miami/FL, Washington DC, and Curitiba/Pr, Brazil. In 2015 and 2016, Gomm & Smith (recently rebranded to GST LLP), has been included by Global Arbitration Review (GAR) in the world's top 100's law firms in the field of international arbitration.
